Katie Tomlinson presents a new body of work at Patio25 in Antwerp, marking a continued evolution in her practice. Developed during and after a recent residency at Rancho dos Bravos in Alentejo, Portugal, these works explore themes of vulnerability, sensuality, and embodied experience.
Moving toward more tactile, process-led forms, Tomlinson uses assemblage and found materials to evoke emotional depth and transformation. Recurring motifs — such as the shell — reflect ideas of protection and inner landscapes, offering a glimpse into a practice in flux, where surface, symbol, and space meet in quiet tension.
