About

Katie is a Freelance Illustrator and graduate from Birmingham City University obtaining a First Class degree in Visual Communication (Illustration). She is originally from Bristol, but currently living and working in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

Katie possesses a flare for working with more traditional materials and uses a combination of graphite, watercolours and inks. Strengths in mark making and observational drawing make her work perfect for fashion and lifestyle based illustration. Negative space and linear silhouette shapes are used intelligently and selectively to create powerful compositions.
A
desire for experimenting and challenging her abilities with any brief enables a fresh approach and versatility to drawing and its contemporary uses.
